Diana Remaley Massage Therapy in Westport, CT
I'm very excited to be practicing massage here in Westport, CT. This town is very conscious of health and wellness, and I know I will fit well in the community.
Blog: Each week, I'll be posting stretches, recipes, and general wellness tips here. I'll also copy the links on my
Facebook page(so please like me there!). Please feel free to follow my blog, ask questions in the comments section, and request a stretch you'd like. I know that Fairfield is full of both athletes and professionals, so I'm going to vary the stretches for both common sport tension and computer/desk posture problems.
Please join in the discussion each week!
What common problems can massage help alleviate?
I'm in a unique position of being a former cube-worker and a bit of an athlete now. (I'm still in awe of marathon-runners!) I received massage monthly when working in an office environment, and those monthly sessions are my recommendation for everyone who works in an office and sits at a desk now. When you're primarily stationary in a desk all day, your muscles aren't stretched enough. When muscles don't move as much as they are designed, blood flow to them is decreased. In turn, when blood flow is decreased, tension is increased. This is why stretching feels to amazing at the end of a long day! So I invite all the office workers to test out a monthly massage, and see how just that one hour will change your entire month.
You'll find yourself looking forward to it, and feeling great for the entire week after, I promise!

I'm always amazed driving the streets in Westport how many runners, bikers and other athletes we have in this town. It's obvious that so many people are concerned with health - that's remarkable! I'm happy to have volunteered at local road race and charity events here in town. I very much enjoy working with athletes and trying to improve performance. As a runner myself, I know that there are many stretches that can help loosen you up before and after exercise. But I can also say (without much bias) that nothing can replace your massage sessions in loosening tension, increasing flexibility and improving performance.
Please take advantage of my massage packages and experience how regular massage can help you no matter which sports you enjoy.
Please view the current research below. Massage therapy is becoming much more scientifically proven. It's a fantastic way to alleviate pain, reduce stress, increase sleep, and improve well-being with absolutely no side effects.
